If the Manson murder case isn't the most famous celebrity crime, this has to be it. O.J. Simpson was an American football hero who married Nicole Brown in 1985. The romance didn't last, however, and Brown filed for divorce in 1992. On the night of June 12, 1994, Brown and her male friend Ronald Goldman were gruesomely murdered outside of her Los Angeles home. Simpson was charged with their deaths but was later acquitted of all criminal charges in an extremely controversial trial. He maintains his innocence. The case is sometimes referred to on Keeping Up With The Kardashians as family patriarch Robert Kardashian was a close friend of O.J.'s and served on his legal team during the trial. The case was so popular that Glee and American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy dedicated the first season of a newer FX series to it in 2016 -- The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
