A YouTube star feared for his life during a livestream on Sunday when a gunman showed up out of nowhere and threatened to shoot him.
Adam22 was hosting his podcast at his bike shop, OnSomeShit, in Los Angeles when the scary incident went down. What’s even scarier is that the episode was being live streamed, and fans were watching the terrifying incident play out on video.
In the clip, the YouTuber and his friends were listening to up and coming Soundcloud artists when a man busts into the room and immediately threatens the host with a gun. He can be heard asking Adam if he “wants to die today.”

The internet personality then makes some nervous sounds before scrambling away from the gunman. The rest mostly plays out off screen, but it appears someone in the background manages to subdue the gunman and verbally scold him.
After a few minutes, Adam returns to his station and tells the audience they’re going to have to “come back soon.” He is then heard asking why the gunman didn’t shoot, saying that the man is on the ground “out cold” after security reportedly knocked him out.
Many viewers initially believed it was a prank, but this seems to be the real deal. Just look at Adam and his cohost’s genuinely terrified reactions in the video (below):
Thankfully, no one was injured. According to a post from fellow YouTuber Keemstar, police were later called to the scene:
#DramaAlert, indeed!
It’s believed that the man was since arrested. Adam took to Twitter following the incident, telling his followers that he’ll post another video on Monday:
He’s also already laughing about the whole thing:
It’s unclear if Adam knows the gunman or was targeted for being a public figure.
Over the past few years, YouTube stars have become celebrities in their own right and are making big bucks on the platform. In 2018, the top 10 earning YouTubers all earned well over $10 million thanks to videos involving pranks, video gaming, and even toy reviewing.
Adam22 is slightly below those titans, boasting 870k subscribers on his personal channel and an impressive 2.6 million subscribers on the No Jumper channel, the podcast he hosts. In comparison, Jake Paul — the second highest paid YouTuber of 2018 — has over 18 million subscribers.
We’re glad Adam and everyone at No Jumper is safe.
