The Jacksons Concert Goes On As Planned In Brazil, Even After Paris' Reported Health Scare

The Jacksons Concert Goes On As Planned In Brazil, Even After Paris' Reported Health Scare

The show must go on, apparently.

The Jacksons put on a show as scheduled Saturday night in Brazil, as you can see (above), choosing to perform for those who have stayed their fans in the wake of the Leaving Neverland fall-out. And more notably for last night itself, the show continued on even after news broke in the late afternoon about Paris Jackson‘s reported health scare and attempted suicide denial.

According to reports from the ground in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the family troupe hit the stage at Espaco Das Americas to a “packed audience” with TitoMarlonRandy, and Jackie on stage — Jermaine, who’s battling illness right now, was one family member notably missing from the event.

The group sang all the staples of the old Jackson 5, including I Want You BackABCDancing Machine, and The Love You Save — all notable songs that unabashedly feature Michael Jackson, who of course has been in intense focus lately because of Leaving Neverland‘s fall-out after first airing on HBO.

And the Jacksons didn’t hesitate to defend MJ at the concert, either, with Tito saying at one point before the show that the Brazil performance “will be a tribute to MJ, because he is everything and will be represented on the stage.” Not backing down!!!

Of course, in no small part the news here is that the concert went on just hours after Paris slit her wrists in what law enforcement sources allege was a suicide attempt that had a direct correlation to the fall-out from the documentary. Paris is now at home and said to be recovering with her team around her after first being monitored by professionals for a while yesterday for her mental health.

To say there’s a lot of upheaval going on in the Jackson world right now may understate things a bit. We can only hope Paris and others continue to have enough mental health support to sustain themselves as reactions to the documentary continue to come out.

The Jacksons will perform again on Tuesday, opting to stay strong and keep moving even after the documentary’s damning evidence against Michael. Jermaine is once again expected to be missing as he continues to battle illness, though.

What do you think about all this controversy, Perezcious readers? No matter where you fall in regards to the allegations in Leaving Neverland, it’s certainly simple to see that it’s been a trying time for the family as a whole. Let us know your opinions about all this in the comments (below)…
