Taylor Swift’s Accused Stalker Arrested AGAIN After Second Break In Attempt At Her NYC Home

This has got to stop!!

On Thursday, police said a man who has previously been arrested for stalking Taylor Swift attempted breaking into her Tribeca apartment AGAIN. This all allegedly went down around 2 a.m. EST, when he busted through a rooftop glass door in hopes to gain access.

22-year-old Floridian Roger Alvarado was arrested on the scene after triggering an alarm, alerting the Grammy winner’s security, who took immediate action. He now faces charges of stalking, burglary, illegal entry, criminal mischief, criminal contempt, and possession of burglary tools.

In December 2018 after his first attempt at gaining access to Tay, Alvarado pled guilty to attempted burglary and criminal contempt. He was sentenced to six months in jail, but hadn’t gone in yet to serve his time.

All of this comes one day after the singer released an essay for Elle, where she mentions fearing for her fans personal safety, and her own. The 29-year-old explained in detail:

“My fear of violence has continued into my personal life. I carry QuikClot army grade bandage dressing, which is for gunshot or stab wounds. Websites and tabloids have taken it upon themselves to post every home address I’ve ever had online.”

She also points out stalker situations specifically:

“You get enough stalkers trying to break into your house and you kind of start prepping for bad things. Every day I try to remind myself of the good in the world, the love I’ve witnessed and the faith I have in humanity. We have to live bravely in order to truly feel alive, and that means not being ruled by our greatest fears.”

This incident is one of the many safety concerns Swift has dealt with over the last decade. Notably, in 2016, a man stalked the musician across Texas and was arrested after attending her Austin show, even though she had a protective order against him. TMZ reported he also allegedly sent threatening emails to Taylor’s father, saying he would kill her entire family. He pled guilty and was sentenced to 10 years probation, and ordered to wear a GPS device.

Her fears are very real, and a cause for great concern. We’re just relieved to know she has a security team in place to help her navigate everything.

Thankfully, she also wasn’t at her NYC digs today when the latest burglary attempt occurred.
