The Beyhive does NOT play games, y’all!
Beyoncé‘s dedicated fan base stung its latest target, Tamera Mowry-Housley, pretty hard after the 40-year-old shared a story about meeting JAY-Z before either of them were married.
And TBH, we are kind of surprised to hear this one!

On Wednesday’s episode of The Real, the daytime TV host spilled the tea to her co-hosts Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, and Jeannie Mai about meeting the rapper with her sister Tia at the Nutty Professor premiere.
She begins the story, saying:
“I’ve actually met JAY-Z in person. And, he wasn’t with Beyonce at the time, and I wasn’t dating anybody and when I met him. You do get like hit with the charm.”
Good job on Tamera’s part by making it clear that at the time, neither of them were married to their now-spouses, Adam Housley and Beyoncé respectively.
But still, she continues that the artist’s charm definitely made her inner fan-girl come out. The Sister, Sister actress says she tried to break the ice by asking him for some gum:
“I found myself strangely asking for gum. It’s so weird! I swear. My sister and I were at a premiere of Nutty Professor and he walked by. And I was like ‘Oh my God that’s JAY-Z!’ I was like, ‘Can I have some gum?’ And he gave me some gum.”
Inneresting!
While this sounds like a pretty innocent encounter to us, Loni must have had an inkling that her friend’s story wouldn’t go over well with Bey’s fans because she seemed the most surprised by the admission.
Mowry-Housley backs up her claim that she and JAY were 100 percent single at the time, saying:
“I was 23! I hadn’t even met [my husband] Adam [Housley], Adam wasn’t even in the picture.”

It didn’t take very long for the Bey Hive to “attack” and flood the momma of two’s social media posts with bee emojis in support of the Lemonade songstress.
But surprisingly enough, there were quite a few fans coming to Tamera’s defense, saying that she tastefully described the story and did not mean any disrespect by it.
One fan (below) wrote:
“I will have to say as a certified Bee! I respect that you gave them important details of the story: 1) Jay and Bey were not together 2)You were single appreciate that. Love your cute story! just some bees for honey”
And others simply posted blue butterfly emojis in support of the former child actor:
