R. Kelly Risking More Jail Time For Failing To Pay Over $161K In Child Support!

In his explosive interview on CBS This Morning, R. Kelly whined and wept about wanting to mend his fractured relationship with his kids.

But apparently, the disgraced R&B star isn’t putting his money where his mouth is. According to TMZ, the 52-year-old has failed to pay over $160,000 in child support!

Sources close to Kelly told the outlet that the embattled singer still hasn’t paid the $161,633 he owes his ex-wife Drea Kelly, and his deadline is Wednesday.

As in, today.

The singer has apparently been aware since last month that he has to pay the minimum amount of $161K by March 6.

Considering the 52-year-old wasn’t able to pay his own $100K bond to get out on his $1 million bail, as it was paid by a Chicago local, it seems hard to believe he’ll get his checkbook together this time.

The TMZ insider said that the sum was not paid at the time Kelly’s interview with Gayle King was taped on Tuesday.

We know Kelly’s going through a lot right now, but he should probably take care of this. Not just for the sake of the children he purportedly wants to be a better father for, but because any amount over $20k is considered a felony — meaning, the D.A. could charge Kelly criminally for failure to pay the support.

If Kelly doesn’t pay up by 10 a.m. Central Time today, he could be hauled right back to Cook County jail, where he was jailed last month after being arrested on 10 counts of sexual abuse.

For those who haven’t watched the singer’s sit-down with Gayle King, he went off on his sexual abuse accusers, claiming they’re all “absolutely” lying. At one point, he even became extremely emotional, standing up and yelling:

“Stop it. You all quit playing! Quit playing! I didn’t do this stuff! This is not me! I’m fighting for my f***ing life! Y’all killing me with this s**t! I gave you 30 years of my f**king career!”

He also continued, going off on the Lifetime docuseries Surviving R. Kelly:

“If you really look at that documentary, which I’m sure you have… everybody says something bad about me. Nobody said nothing good. They were describing Lucifer. I’m not Lucifer. I’m a man. I make mistakes, but I’m not a devil, and by no means am I a monster.”

Well, “monster” or not, he still has to pay up!
