No expense was spared for Meghan Markle‘s uber-lavish baby shower in NYC!
While pal Gayle King, who attended the bash, wouldn’t reveal on CBS This Morning what she bought the Duchess of Sussex and the baby-to-be, she did share a few details into the Upper East Side soiree.

The co-host shared:
“She’s a very private person. I think she should decide what she wants to say about this. But I hope she won’t mind me sharing this because I’ve never seen anything like this at a baby shower. They had flower arranging. They brought in somebody to explain how to arrange flowers. We all each made an individual vase.”
Oprah‘s bestie shared that the floral arrangements were donated at the momma-to-be’s request to different charities through Repeat Roses, which recycles floral arrangements after events:
“I thought that was a very sweet thing. I mean it just speaks to who she is. She’s very kind. She’s very generous, and a really, really sweet person.”
Someone else who’s very generous? Amal Clooney, who reportedly let Meghan hitch a ride with her on a $225,000 private flight to the UK after the shower, a source revealed to The Sun:
“Amal was already flying back and covering all the costs so it made total sense. Amal was more than happy for Meghan to fly back with her and the kids. It’s absolutely not the case that the taxpayers or the royal family paid for the cost of the jet. The flight didn’t cost Meghan a thing.”
Having friends in high places definitely pays off!
