Is Meghan Markle being a Royal rule breaker again?
When she and Prince Harry first got married it seemed like every other day we were hearing stories of how the American rebel was bucking tradition with her slacks and her free speech.
It’s calmed down a bit since then as the Duchess of Sussex has settled into her role as a Royal, but we’re hearing now she’s back to being chastised.

Back in February Meghan slipped away to New York City to secretly celebrate a baby shower with some celeb pals.
A source spilled to Us Weekly that event was a teensy bit of a scandal there:
“Meghan is still struggling with the press in London. She was made aware that Kensington Palace and the royal family, that’s not the way they do it with a big, flashy baby shower like the one she had in NYC.”
They think that was big and flashy? Have they seen a Trooping the Colour?
The source contends this was not “a scolding” but rather just informing her how things are done.
Damn. Is being passive aggressive also a Royal tradition? Oh, it is? Our mistake. Better than beheading wives we guess…
Frankly, it may have been somewhat star-studded, but the soiree didn’t even sound all that lavish to us.
Guest Gayle King shared on CBS This Morning at the time that the ladies had a lesson in floral arrangement:
“…I’ve never seen anything like this at a baby shower. They had flower arranging. They brought in somebody to explain how to arrange flowers. We all each made an individual vase.”
See? Classy, not opulent. Even the private jet to get her back to the U.K. was gratis, thanks to Amal Clooney, who was headed that way anyway.
So really what’s the big deal? Her gal pals who never get to see her wanted to celebrate her motherhood. Who cares if they did it up anyway? This is a ROYAL BABY we’re talking about! Not like you get too many moms get to have one of those.
Speaking of which, another question this brings up — wasn’t Kate Middleton supposed to be throwing Meghan a shower?
The Duchess of Cambridge — and one of the only living women who can understand some of what Meghan is going through — reportedly offered to host a private event back in Britain.

That was four weeks ago now, so we’re guessing it already happened behind closed palace doors — a very private event indeed.
The question is, what did the Royal establishment make of that?
If all their Duchesses band together, can’t they just start a new tradition??
