As we reported, in December 2016, the 43-year-old passed away following a battle with leukemia.
The 27-year-old can be heard singing:
“You’ll never know how much I miss you/The day that they took you, I wish it was me instead/But you once told me don’t give up/You can do it day by day/And diamonds they don’t turn to dust or fade away“

In an interview with Radio 1 Newsbeat, Tomlinson revealed he often asked his mom for advice, explaining:
“It was something I needed to get off my chest… I used to lean on my mum for a lot of things – anytime I needed advice on something she would be the first call I made.”
While the song is a “a tough one” to play for his sisters, he doesn’t want fans to get “caught up in the sadness of it.” He added:
“The song should be hopeful.”
Not surprisingly, social media users couldn’t contain their emotions regarding the heartbreaking tune. They wrote on Twitter:
“I just listened to the song and I couldn’t be more proud of him. He’s so brave for writing this song.”
“The lyrics are so beyond powerful and it touched my heart. Jay would be so proud of him. I had tears in my eyes as the song was playing. I’m so proud of you Louis.”
“I can’t stop crying and then smiling @Louis_Tomlinson bc I’m so heartbroken and proud at the same time. well done, I wasn’t ready.”
“It’s so beautiful. Absolutely amazing. I have it on repeat and just. I’m so proud of you Louis. You’re incredibly strong and brave to share this beautiful song with us. Thank you.”
After Johannah’s death, her husband, Dan, released the following statement:
“It is with immeasurable sadness that Johannah Deakin’s family said goodbye to Johannah in the early hours of Wednesday 7th December 2016. Earlier this year Johannah was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of leukaemia that required immediate and continuous treatment. We respectfully request that the family are given time and space to grieve in private.”
He added:
“Incredibly selfless, she would always look to put other people before herself. She desired nothing more than for everyone around her to be happy and loving. She worked tirelessly on numerous charity campaigns, creating memories for many individuals and their families. It wasn’t uncommon for Johannah to hear through the media of an individual in need of assistance, and she would immediately make it her objective to get that person what they often desperately needed, and rarely without success.”

It's weird because when I first listened to #TwoOfUs this morning, I was crying so much from the memories of my dad but now…I think it helped. I was reading tweets and I don't think my laugh has ever been as genuine as it has been today. So thank you @Louis_Tomlinson ????
