Is 2019 the year we see Katy Perry team up with Taylor Swift??
Possibly!
The 365 songstress was on the red carpet of the iHeartRadio Music Awards in El Lay on Thursday night when asked about her former nemesis, and the chance there could be a collab between the two.

Katy, who plays a Stepford Wives-inspired AI in her music video with Zedd, coyly revealed to ET:
“I mean, I’m making music with Zedd, [so] I’m open.”
And the music producer joined in on the convo by joking about the possibility, explaining:
“I programmed her to make music with anybody, it’s great.”
The blonde beauty then added, “I’m a loveable AI.”
Lovable is right!
As we all know, the two pop stars had quite the Bad Blood until Perry sent Swift a literal olive branch!
In case you’ve forgotten, it was just last May that the Call It What You Want singer received the gift from her former friend on the opening night of her Reputation stadium tour, sharing video of it to her Instagram Story (seen below).
Along with the olive branch, the newly-engaged singer also included a handwritten note, which partly read:
“Hey old friend – I’ve been doing some thinking on past miscommunications and feelings between us and wanted to clear the air.”
While T. Swift didn’t reveal the whole message for her fans, it’s been rumored the “past miscommunications and feelings between” them stemmed from one stealing backup dancers from the other. And the “one” here is supposedly the 34-year-old artist!

Their feud reportedly began after some of Tay’s dancers left her to join Katy on tour, even though they were said to be the latter’s dancers from the get-go!
Still, it seemed like the now 29-year-old was holding a grudge, leading to the premise of her diss track Bad Blood. While she never admitted the song was directly about this betrayal, she did admit to Rolling Stone that it was written about a “straight-up enemy.”
The day after her interview, Katy took to Twitter with a very telling message:
“Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing…”
See it (below):
It’s also been rumored that both ladies having relationships with John Mayer could have added to their tension.
Whatever the reason behind their friction, it’s clearly in the past now, and we can only hope the two starlets decide to collaborate!
After all, it seems like Taylor has been working hard in the studio anyway, so there’s a chance!
What do U think?? Would U want a song featuring them both?? Or could U care less about the pair rekindling their friendship? Sound OFF in the comments (below)!
