After less than 24 hours following a disorderly conduct charge for allegedly filing a false police report, Jussie Smollett has turned himself in to Chicago authorities.

Chief Communications Officer Anthony Guglielmi announced the news on Thursday. See his tweet (below):
ICYMI, the report in question claimed that Jussie had been attacked by two men yelling racist and homophobic slurs in late January.
Deputy Director of News Affairs and Communications for the Chicago Police, Tom Ahern, shared that Smollett faces a class four felony charge, which could amount to a maximum of three years in prison.
