It's A Girl!

Geri Halliwell Denies 'Very Disappointing' Rumors Of Tryst With Mel B

Sorry Ginger Spice and Scary Spice stans!

Despite Mel B‘s recent claims that Geri Halliwell “won’t deny” her tales of a sexy hookup between the two, that’s exactly what she just did!

ICYMI, Miz Brown spilled the scandalous tea during a taping of Piers Morgan‘s new ITV show, Life Stories, per transcripts of the convo obtained by the Daily Mail:

Piers: “Did you or didn’t you with Geri Halliwell…did you sleep with her?”

Mel B: “Yeah, we all slept in a bed together but not ‘like that’ all of us.”

Piers: “Did you sleep with Geri ‘like that’?”

Mel B: “She’s going to hate me for this because she’s all posh in her country house and her husband. But it’s a fact. It just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it. It was just that once. And hopefully when Geri gets asked that, which hopefully she will after this, she won’t deny it. Because it was just a fun thing.”

But a rep for Halliwell released a statement Sunday completely disputing the whole affair:

“It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumours again, especially on Mother’s Day of all days. Geri is really grateful for your support and loyalty for so many years. She loves the Spice Girls: Emma [Bunton], Melanie [Chisholm], Melanie and Victoria [Beckham]. She would like you to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family. Moving forward, Geri can’t wait to see the girls and all the fans on the tour, have an amazing time with everyone, and make some new memories. She wishes you a Happy Mother’s Day.”

Ouch!! We wonder what Baby and Sporty Spice have to say about all of this?

This statement is telling a totally different story from what the former America’s Got Talent host had to say, who initially attempted to backtrack, and even shared that the two had a laugh over the story hitting the news:

“It wasn’t, like, a big deal. We’ve known each other for 20-plus years. It was just one of those things that happened one night. I just said it was, like, a little thing and we giggled about it the next day and that’s that. … I just admitted we had a little bit of a thing back in the day at one time. And that’s it.”

Let’s just hope that this scuffle doesn’t disrupt the Spice Girls‘ upcoming 13-date tour, which kicks off in the U.K. in May.
