American Horror Story (2011 - present)Several episodes of the popular series have retold true tales. In the third season, Kathy Bates plays Delphine LaLaurie, a New Orleans socialite from the 1800s who was known for torturing and murdering slaves in her "Chamber of Terror." There's also Jimmy Darling who is based off of Grady Franklin Stiles Jr., a freak show performer from the 1950s with a lobster claw-like hand deformity who murdered his daughter's fiancé. He was played by Evan Peters in the fourth season.
