Bruce Willis Starred In The Film Because He Lost The Studio MoneyThe actor was slated to star in another Disney film, which he was also producing, a few years before 'The Sixth Sense' was released. Unfortunately, things did not go well on the set of the ill-fated 'Broadway Brawler': Willis fired most of the crew (including the director) less than three weeks into production, forcing Disney to abandon the project altogether. The drama cost the studio a $17.5 million loss, so Willis signed a three-picture contract to make up for it, where a portion of his salary would cover Disney’s losses on his defunct film. The other films from that contract ended up being 'Armageddon' and 'The Kid'.
