Denise Richards is going gluten-free!
On Sunday on Instagram, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star revealed she changed her diet after fans noticed her enlarged thyroid — located on the front of her neck — during the reunion special.

According to the Mayo Clinic, the condition — called a goiter — can be caused by a number of factors, including iodine deficiency and inflammation. Symptoms may include visible swelling, tight feeling in one’s throat, coughing, hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, and difficulty breathing.
While posting a selfie, the Wild Things actress wrote:
“It’s amazing to me in a short time eliminating gluten from my diet how much my thyroid has changed. A few of you pointed out after the #RHOBH reunion that my thyroid was enlarged. You were right, it was something I ignored until pointed out. I had no idea how much our diet really can affect our body and for me how toxic gluten really is … I thank all of you who sent me messages. #selfcare”
During a recent episode of the hit Bravo franchise, the 48-year-old got emotional while discussing her four-year marriage to Charlie Sheen.
She revealed:
“It’s surreal when you start to see your kids become adults. It makes me cry… I just feel like I f**ked up a lot with their dad. I don’t want them to look back at their childhood and remember [arguments].”
The two were married from June 2002 to November 2006, and share two daughters: Sam, 15, and Lola, 13.
The World Is Not Enough vixen added:
“My girls have been through a lot… How I chose to relate to the dysfunction that was going on with their father was to hide it from the kids. I don’t know if I did a disservice or not. … It just made me realize how fast it goes. Life is so short and their childhood is so short.”
New husband Aaron Phypers comforted her by saying:
“You protected them from a lot. You did the best you could.”
While Richards also has 7-year-old daughter Eloise, Charlie has twins, Bob and Max (10), with ex Brooke Mueller, in addition to 34-year-old daughter Cassandra with ex Paula Profit.
According to Us Weekly in September 2018, Richards invited Sheen to her wedding to Phypers, but he did not make it.
Denise dished on a March 26 episode of RHOBH:
“Even if [Charlie] did bring a prostitute as his date, I wouldn’t care… No matter what’s gone down with Charlie and I, I invite Charlie to anything having to do with the kids and I.”
