Well, this gives a whole new meaning to the term “leg wrestling.”
Two people were arrested at a buffet restaurant in Huntsville, Alabama, after a brawl police say began over… crab legs.
Police officer Gerald Johnson was on the scene — having dinner — at the Meteor Buffet when he heard what sounded like “a fencing match” as diners John Chapman and Chequita Jenkins started fighting with metal tongs.
We can only imagine shouts of “En garde!” and “Sneeze guard!” LOLz!

In reality, Officer Johnson says they were yelling about who was first in line as a fresh plate of crab legs were being put out onto the buffet. He told WHNT:
“They’d been waiting there for the crab legs for a good 10, 20 minutes. When they finally came out, it’s very heated. Especially if someone is taking more than their fair share.”
Chapman has been charged with disorderly conduct, while Jenkins was charged with third-degree assault. Guess we know who won the fight?
The buffet reportedly cost $10.58, so everyone wanted to make sure they were getting their money’s worth with a heaping pile of crab legs. Now both parties are facing hundreds in fines, so… good job, y’all.
What food would YOU fight someone over??
