Amanda Bynes Will Remain In Treatment For Her 33rd Birthday: 'Nothing Will Be Rushed'

Amanda Bynes isn’t going to rush home from rehab just to celebrate her birthday!

The What I Like About You star will turn 33 years old on April 3rd, but according to reports, she’s not planning on leaving her current treatment center just to celebrate her birthday — and, in fact, it may be quite a while until she does leave, because she wants to ensure she gets fully healthy and back on track!

A source spoke to Us Weekly late this week about Bynes’ treatment plan moving forward, and even though her big day comes on April 3, she won’t be going crazy to celebrate (below):

“Amanda will be spending her 33rd birthday in treatment and will celebrate on April 3. She will remain in treatment for several more months. Nothing will be rushed to give Amanda the best possible result after leaving treatment.”

Good for her!

Obviously, it’d be nice to celebrate her birthday and have some peace for it, but it’s even better that she’s fully committed to getting back on track and healthy again — no matter how long it takes.

The insider gave more updates about Bynes’ current condition in treatment, too, acknowledging that the Amanda Show alum was “moving forward”, and adding (below):

“[Amanda is] responding very well to treatment and her team remains extremely optimistic about her future … Getting help will only benefit her.”

Amen!!!

Bynes has been on a very long comeback, trying to get back into acting over the last year after taking a long hiatus and previously struggling with some high-profile incidents from years ago. She continues to take it a day at a time now, though, and ultimately was forced to return to rehab back in January after “suffering a setback” that came about after she did that infamous photo shoot for Paper Magazine announcing her comeback.

A source at the time had said (below):

“Amanda went to rehab in January after suffering a setback which was the result of feeling pressure of being back in the spotlight after her Paper magazine cover. Amanda is continuing treatment with the assistance of mental health counselors and addiction specialists.”

Now, we can only hope that she’s getting the treatment she has been seeking — whether or not she’s fully able to celebrate her birthday.

Here’s to Amanda getting healthy again, once and for all!
