Olivia Jade's Former Classmate Speaks Out Amid College Cheating Scandal: 'It Just Didn't Make Sense To Me'

Olivia Jade‘s former high school classmate speaks out to “share a little bit of [her] tea”!

As we reported, Lori Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were indicted for allegedly paying bribes totaling $500,000 to have both of their children — including 20-year-old Isabella Rose — recruited for the USC crew team, despite not playing the sport.

Last week, fellow YouTube star, Harlow Brooks, made a video titled, “I went to school with Olivia Jade… the real problem,” where she reveals she went to the same Los Angeles private institution as the Giannulli sisters, and even shared a class with Olivia.

Brooks — now a high school senior — attended the unnamed school during her junior year, but is no longer a student at Olivia’s alma mater.

Harlow dished:

“I remember when I was touring the school I saw a picture of Olivia Jade’s sister actually on the wall with the seniors and it was like, ‘Congratulations Bella for getting into USC!’… And I was like, ‘Wow … USC is super hard to get into.’… Then I remember hearing later that Olivia had also gotten into USC and I was like, ‘Whoa, that’s kind of crazy because USC is very extremely hard to get into.’ So not only one sister, but both of them.'”

Though she was impressed, Brooks assumed that the two may have gotten in because “their mom’s a celebrity” or because she “donates a lot of money” to the school.

In the clip, Harlow gives background information about the super-competitive world of the Los Angeles private school scene. She revealed:

“There’s a network of five to seven or so private schools in Los Angeles that are $30,000 to $45,000 in tuition every year. The work is literally harder than college. It is insane what these students go through to go to these schools because their parents think that they need to. They want them to go to Yale and Harvard and USC.”

In fact, because of her own insane schedule, Brooks did not understand how Olivia could juggle schoolwork while making YouTube videos.

“I would have to get up at 6:00 a.m. every morning and I would leave school at 4:00 p.m. and then I would have six hours of homework… It made me think, ‘How is she doing this? How does she travel for YouTube? How does she have time to make YouTube videos? An arrangement with the school or something?’ It just didn’t make sense to me. These schools, your life is literally, 100 percent school.'”

Harlow even revealed that students allegedly resorted to drugs — including Adderall, anti-depressants, and anti-anxiety medications — to deal with the stress.

“It’s all this stress and pressure for no point, except to say that you went to this certain high school, and I think that’s why they go… Because the rich people in L.A. want their kids to go to these schools so they can say they go to these schools so people know they pay $50,000 for their high school. It’s a super weird world.”

While Brooks has no firsthand knowledge of Olivia’s high school grades, she doubts Loughlin’s youngest daughter had a perfect GPA.

“Seeing as I am a person who loves school and do really well at school and I couldn’t even handle the workload — I know that she’s publicly stated that she doesn’t like school — I can’t even imagine making it through a school like that if you are not committed.”

After hearing about the college cheating scandal, Harlow is “not going to say I was surprised because we are in that world.”

As we wrote, Olivia and Isabella are reportedly not returning to USC in fear that they would be “viciously bullied” if they went back.

Apparently, Olivia “is a mess, despondent, and feeling like it’s the end of the world.”

For now, the Giannulli sisters will “lay low,” and will not enroll in another school anytime soon.
