Season 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race has only been on a week, and the drama has already become real — too real as it turns out.
That’s because standout queen Silky Ganache has been accused of sexual assault.
VOTE: Should Radio Stations Stop Playing Michael Jackson?
It all started when drag queen Vicky Vox, who runs a regular show at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood, tweeted some shade about a certain queen getting cast on the show. She wrote:
“There’s a queen on this current season of drag race that was highly disappointing when booked in my little burger bar show. She sure is cutting up when the cameras turn on. So, tv audiences can have a show but you gonna be a sloppy unpolished sack of wet potatoes irl? F**k y’all”
Most responded by asking for confirmation of the drag queen’s identity, several apparently knew who it was immediately… but one follower had something more serious to say.
In an exchange which has since been deleted to protect the anonymity of the accuser, this person wrote back:
“AND she sexually assaulted me. Witnesses to prove it.”
Vicky had NOT expected this. She responded:
“Wait? Are you serious? At my shows we have legit been working hard to not even touch people anymore because the lines have been so blurred in the past. You ok? Can i help?”
The person elaborated:
“Yes. It wasn’t even a wink wink nudge nudge thing, you’re at a drag show thing. It was, the shows over, leaving the bar, she’s yelling about getting trade, pin me against a wall and trying to kiss/undress me while not letting me go until multiple people came to help.
She was honestly super blasted and that specific night a certain queen performing as krumpus had to ask her to step away from her own space. So I took some comfort in knowing I wasn’t the only one who felt like she was a little too much that night.”
When multiple people attacked the accuser’s story, he wrote:
“It also happened at the bottom of the stairs in the entrance area of a who bar that is under video surveillance. So I’m 100% sure there’s that proof.”
Before this was deleted from Twitter, an Instagram account called Drag Exposing was able to capture it all — though they did censor the accuser’s name and image when posting:

But after even more commenters questioned the accuser’s credibility, he’d had enough. He broke his silence to comment on Drag Exposing’s post, writing:
“My name is Jesse. I am the person this story is about. I have not commented and deleted my original tweets to try to stay as private as possible but this has gotten out of hand and I need to speak up. First, the fact that this has been made a story without the permission of the two people whose lives it is about is horses**t and everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves. Second, this wasn’t a THING and still doesn’t need to be one. Third, I won’t shared details of what happened. Because I do not want anything to happen to silky.”
He continued:
“I don’t think it needs to. If I did, I would have gone to club management, who I know, personally, or to the police- I don’t know them personally. I responded to Vicky’s tweet about WHO I PERCEIVED to be silky- never once did SHE mention a name- and I shared what happened to ME! I have seen and interacted and kikied with Vicky many times over the years and I responded to HER! not anyone f**king else. I don’t care that it was a public forum or that other people could see. I am allowed to talk about what happened to me wherever the f**k I please. It is not my fault that now the other person in my story is on a tv show. It’s gross that many people have tried to make me out to be a liar or a bad person. I have not lied. I have not been a bad person to ANYONE in this situation.”
Further explaining:
“If I was a bad person to myself, I’d act self destructively. If I was a bad person to silky, I’d go to the police or to promoters and club managers. I am tired of people calling me a liar and speculating about MY LIFE. it did not happen to you. It is not your story to tell or up to you what happens because of it. Nothing needs to happen to silky bc although she did invade my personal space, I am able to deal with the consequences of my own actions and my own situations and I am able to live in my own silence and with my own peace. If she learns to do the same, that is her story. If she decides to behave the same way towards more people until she actually hurts someone, that is also her story. I will not be the one to decide that.”
And:
“I am in the front row of EVERY drag show that I watch. I have been spit on, kissed on, humped on, kicked on and bled on. I understand what it’s like to be at a drag show. I have been doing it for MUCH longer than most of you reading this. That is not what this is about. This specific situation is different and it is not the first time something similar (or worse) has happened to me and I’ve posted about those too. I’m sure these kinds of things have happened to others and it won’t be the last time these kinds of things happen. That is the conversation you should all be having. What anyone else thinks of me is none of my damn business but how other people treat me is entirely my business. And I’m tired of being treated as a liar or a bad person. And if anyone comes for me in that way, the price will be severe!! Now, IF ANYONE HAS ANYTHING ELSE TO SAY, NOW IS THE F**KING TIME!!!”
What do YOU think of the accusation?
Should VH1 and RuPaul do anything about it??
