It’s over for Ryan Seacrest and Shayna Taylor.
Sources confirmed to People on Wednesday that the American Idol host and his girlfriend called it quits, after dating for nearly three years. The pair met through friends back in 2013, worked through a brief separation in 2014 and were seemingly going strong ever since.
Until now, that is.

The insider tells the publication that things are actually all good right now between Ryan and Shayna, despite their decision to part ways:
“It was an amicable split and they’re still really close. They still love and care about each other.”
Aww. Sad!
We’re glad to hear that this wasn’t a messy breakup, but we still don’t exactly know why they broke up in the first place.
We’re kind of surprised to hear this too, since Shayna posted such a sweet Instagram tribute to Ryan on Valentine’s Day just a few weeks ago. Not to mention, she staunchly defended him when he was accused of sexual harassment in the workplace early last year.
Guess another one bites the dust.
