Jussie Smollett Could Lose His 'Empire' Gig As Fox Is Reportedly 'Considering' It's Options After His Arrest

This may be the end of the road for Jussie Smollett‘s time on Empire.

We knew there would be consequences to follow, after the actor was arrested and charged with a felony for allegedly filing a fake police report in connection to the staged attack on his life late last month.

The fallout has potentially already begun, as the show’s execs at Twentieth Century Fox are reportedly re-evaluating the entire situation now that more information has come to light.

Although the network previously pledged to stand by the 36-year-old and denied rumors that his character Jamal Lyon was being written off, their recent official statement below is leading us to think otherwise:

“We understand the seriousness of this matter and we respect the legal process. We are evaluating the situation and we are considering our options.”

Yikes!! That does not sound promising…

As we reported, Chicago PD believes that Jussie orchestrated his own assault (and sent that cryptic, hateful letter too) because he was “dissatisfied with his salary” on Empire.

Do YOU guys think Jussie’s character should be written off the show? Does it even matter, as he may be facing prison time anyway?
